About the Farmboy Fine Arts Project
Farmboy Fine Arts (FBFA) is an integrated art and design company that develops site-specific artwork and design objects for hospitality, healthcare, retail, casinos and corporate environments.

Goals & Audience
FBFA was in need of a web overhaul that targeted interior designers with an online experience that was "High-end Style" but also stuck to FBFA's farm roots. By establishing low-fidelity wireframes in combination with a detailed use-case model we coined the user workflow "FBFA 123" (Find an Image, Choose a Medium, Choose Your Composition). These findings combined with a clear brand essence resulted in unique features including:

  • A custom search engine using .NET 2.0 to create intuitive sorting and managing of over 15,000 images.
  • AJAX interaction for delivering advanced search options, same-page search results, dynamically changing "Stockyard" homepage and sorting tools.
  • A theme based experience that delivers changing colors and images based on unique user sessions.
  • A custom blog that tied in the unique AJAX and flash methods for surfing through FBFA's inspirational mailers.
  • The integration of a 3rd party email management system to reduce the costs for the client while still maintaining the tools necessary to convey their "Farmfresh Ideas Mailer".

Results
Since the web site's debut a few months ago the daily lead count has increased significantly as suspects visit more often and spend more time per visit. Visits per day, on average, have increased approximately 600%.
